RESURS foam carbon cleaner is an innovative decarbonizing product for cleaning the valves, intake manifold, combustion chamber and compression rings. Product doesn’t have a pungent smell. Foam is designed for cleaning gasoline and diesel combustion engines of carbon deposits: soot, varnish.

Dissolves deposits on the valves, intake manifold, upper piston, on the area of the first compression ring. Can be used to clean the EGR valve, turbocharger, and other aluminum, steel, or cast iron parts. Cleans better due to 5 cycles of wetting, dissolution and washing off carbon deposits.

Advantages:

  • Stable foam. The foam settles more slowly, and therefore, contacts with carbon deposits for a longer time.
  • Active foam. Product works exactly in a state of foam, unlike Japanese counterpart Shumma, which turns into a liquid faster and settles on the valves. Stable and active foam cleans the upper part of the combustion chamber, which goes unattended.
  • Treatment according to the formula 5*5. Maximum cleaning efficiency is achieved by treating the cylinders 5 times for 5 minutes. Total treatment time is 25 minutes.
  • Affordable. 1 bottle of 400 ml is enough for 12 cylinders. For example, one bottle is enough to wash 3 four-cylinder engines or 2 six-cylinder engines. At the same time, the imported analog is able to wash only one 6-cylinder engine.

To clean the combustion chamber:

  • Warm up the engine to operating temperature. Remove the coils and spark plugs. Set the pistons in the middle position. Engine should be warm but not hot.
  • Spray the product in the spark plug hole until it is completely filled with foam.
  • After the foam settles, let it react with the carbon deposits for 5-7 minutes. Repeat steps 2 and 3. It’s recommended to repeat the application 5 times.
  • Pump out the remaining of the product with a tube or syringe, blow with compressed air.
  • Cover all spark plug holes with rags to prevent splashing of the liquid.
  • Turn on the starter for 10 seconds.
  • Install all spark plugs and ignition coils.
  • Start the engine and let it idle for 5 minutes. From the exhaust pipe may escape thick smoke. It is necessary to increase the engine speed several times to 3000-4000 rpm, until the smoke becomes less saturated.
  • It is recommended to repeat the process after 10 thousand km if the engine is heavily contaminated.
  • It is advisable to change the filter and oil. To protect and restore the engine against wear, we recommend applying the RESURS Engine Restorer.

To clean the intake manifold:

  • Warm up the engine to operating temperature, disconnect the plastic part of the intake manifold. Engine should be warm but not hot.
  • It is recommended to close the valves.
  • Spray the product in the intake manifold cylinder head until it is completely filled with foam.
  • After the foam settles, let it react with the soot  for 5-7 minutes. It is recommended to repeat steps 3-4 about 5 times.
  • Remove the remains of the product with a rag, then blow the manifold with compressed air, covering the spark plug holes with rags. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, mucous membranes.
  • Mount the intake manifold, then it is recommended to clean the combustion chamber.
